SUMMARY:Palliative Care: It’s More Than You Think
DESCRIPTION:An in-depth discussion on the wide spectrum of benefits palliative care offers at any stage of an illness journey\, including chronic diseases. \nFeatured Speaker: Dr. Tarek Kazem is a Palliative Care Physician and Clinical Lead for the Palliative Care Program at Halton Healthcare. He is also the Co-Lead for the Palliative Care stream of the Connected Care Halton Ontario Health Team. Dr. Kazem obtained his undergraduate medical degree from McMaster University in 2011. He then successfully completed a residency in Family Medicine at the University of Western Ontario\, followed by a Palliative Care Fellowship at the University of Toronto. He is a passionate educator and holds the appointment of Assistant Clinical Professor at McMaster University. His clinical interests include complex cancer pain management\, and integrating technology into healthcare to improve patient and family experiences. \n\n
